女性としての体について違和感を持つ人たちのために下着を開発した上田のぞみさん。2015年、地元の自治体においてパートナーシップ制度が開始したことで、「性的マイノリティ」という言葉を知り、自身の生まれながらの性別に違和感を抱き悩んでいる人たちのために、この取り組みをスタート。胸を平らに見せる下着を作ることで、性的マイノリティの人々が抱える悩みや生きづらさが、少しでも減ってほしいと語る上田さんの思い描く未来とは？
Ms. Nozomi Ueda developed undergarments for people uncomfortable with their female bodies. In 2015, when her local municipality launched a partnership system, she learned the term "sexual minority." She started this initiative for people who feel uncomfortable with the gender assigned to them at birth. Ms. Ueda says she hopes that by creating undergarments that make the wearer’s chest look flatter, the worries and difficulties faced by sexual minorities will be alleviated, even if by only a little. What kind of future does she envision?
