In recent years, as urban areas have been promoting the preservation of green spaces as a countermeasure to climate change caused by global warming, Ms. Yuka Kaneko has transformed a former railroad site into a field. She also works to recycle resources locally, by making compost on the premises by collecting food waste from nearby restaurants, branches and leaves cut during planting management, and weeds from weeding. Ms. Kaneko says she wants to create a place where people can bond over the field and become a part of the local community. What kind of future does she envision?
